Johnny developed a great love of Irish history and folklore while working as a tour guide in Ireland for 15 years. He found that what most interested people on his tours, was hearing how Irish people lived off the land and the food they ate, why their beliefs in the otherworld of the fairies were so strong and finally the stories they told when they came together in the evenings as a community. He established Irish Folk Tours to share his knowledge and passion for Irish folklore with people seeking a greater understanding of how Irish people lived their every day lives in times past.
